Computable Awards 2024, the annual event celebrating top performers on the Dutch ICT market, is heading towards the most exciting stage: the finals! This year, Extreme has been nominated in the “Partner Project” category, in recognition of our outstanding Wi-Fi network at the Zwarte Cross festival. The competition is now open – you may cast your votes until October 20, 2024!
Computable Awards, the single most important and prestigious awards in the ICT sector in the Netherlands, have been honoring notable achievements in the market for almost 20 years. In the spirit of the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris and its everlasting motto “Faster, Higher, Stronger”, this year’s nominations are giving spotlight to businesses and organizations that have excelled in projects that are innovative, responsible, extensive, or particularly successful.
Faster, Higher, Stronger… and Louder!
This year’s nomination in the “Partner Project” category recognizes Extreme’s long-standing and successful collaboration with De Feestfabriek, organizer of the annual Zwarte Cross festival. The biggest music party in the Netherlands and the largest outdoor motor event in the world couldn’t function in its current, unique format without robust and secure wireless connectivity, both for the fans and all the back-office operations like mobile ticketing or cashless payments.
Extreme’s large-scale Wi-Fi, deployed in collaboration with our partners from Indicium B.V. and Palo Alto Networks, not only provides the festivalgoers with a high-performing wireless connectivity that offloads traffic from cellular networks in a high-density environment, but also complements the organizer’s own wired network, especially in critical areas where it is not possible, due to various reasons, to roll out fiber optics.
To support bandwidth-hungry applications and services, this year’s deployment will feature next-generation Wi-Fi 7 solutions from Extreme for the first time in the festival’s history.

The nomination process
The voting process will remain open through October 20, 2024. Public voting will determine 50% of the final decision. The other 50% will be based on the jury's evaluation of the nominees in each category. The nominations were each assessed on four components and weightings were added for each area: complexity/risks, added value, originality/innovative strength, and the role of supplier. The winners will be announced on November 27, 2024 during an event in Utrecht.
How to vote?
1. Go to the Awards Page.
2. Enter your details – submit your personal information.
3. A unique voting link will be sent to the provided email address – click the link.
4. Scroll down, select "Extreme Networks" in the “Partner Project” category, and submit your vote.
Important note: the voting module allows users to cast only one vote in each of the 17 categories. There is no need to vote in all categories. However, voting can only be done once – it’s not possible to complete unfilled categories later.
