Zorg & ict 2024, taking place from April 9 to 11 in Utrecht, Netherlands, provided a great stage to experience new and emerging technologies shaping the landscape of modern healthcare. Extreme Networks team, joined by the leading Partners in their respective fields, took this opportunity to showcase cutting-edge network solutions that support hospitals and medical organizations on their path to the future of advanced healthcare.
Anyone who paid a visit to the Extreme booth over the course of three days of the event had an excellent opportunity to experience first-hand how our network solutions are addressing the ever-growing demand for bandwidth to support advanced medical applications, while also ensuring a high level of security for patient data.
A strong ecosystem of Partners
For this event, Extreme was joined by our trusted partners from Check Point, Conscia, Indicium B.V., and Lagarde Group. These companies implement Extreme's technology and offer complementary solutions in the areas of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, creating a strong ecosystem to tackle the complex challenges of the healthcare industry.
Patrick Groot Nuelend, Head of Vertical Markets & Strategy EMEA, emphasized the importance of these partners in the report of the first day of the trade show, that was written by ChannelConnect, media partner of Zorg & ict.
The importance of a resilient network
Each day, apart from giving product demos and attending scheduled 1-on-1 meetings, Patrick also led technical presentations at the Theater 6, quickly nicknamed the igloo due to its characteristic, dome-like shape. The common thread connecting all three sessions was the importance of resilient networks for the digitalization of healthcare. He emphasized that powerful, seamless and flexible networks are essential for the digital transformation of healthcare institutions, allowing doctors and medical staff to work effectively and patients to receive an optimal experience on their way to recover. Here’s a little overview of all 3 sessions:
- Resilient Network for Digitalization of Healthcare – with Jeroen Mooijman from Parnassia Group
- Healthcare Security: A Universal Zero Trust Approach to Network Access
- Stronger Together: Innovation in Healthcare Networks with Extreme Networks and Partners – with Kees Brouwer from Indicium B.V, Arjen van Dalen from Conscia Nederland, and Martin Gol from Lagarde Groep
Solution demos on the stand
Technical presentations were complemented by the ongoing demos at the stand, including the City of Tomorrow – an AR simulation that showcases the future of urban services and highlights the role of AI in improving them. And then there was the Business Opportunity Builder (BOB), a portable 'network in box' demo kit where all the elements hardware are connected via Extreme's solution. This demo, led by Roland Ivens, Systems Engineering Manager from the Extreme Networks Benelux, provided visitors with valuable insights into practical applications of advanced networking technologies for companies operating in the healthcare sector.
On behalf of the entire Extreme Networks team – a big thank you to everyone who engaged with us at Zorg & ict 2024!
