There's an old baseball saying that goes, “If you hit, you don't sit”. So, less than two weeks after powering the Super Bowl game, it’s time for another home run. We are proud to announce that Extreme Networks has been named the Official Wi-Fi Solutions Provider of Major League Baseball!

With the MLB pre-season currently underway, baseball fans should be as excited as ever for the upcoming campaign. Players are perfecting their swings, coaches are trying new strategies, and fans can’t wait to fill stadiums again once the pandemic dust settles. And Extreme will be ready to play ball.

Beginning with the 2021 MLB season, Extreme will deliver in-stadium Wi-Fi with advanced Wi-Fi analytics in MLB ballparks to improve the fan and media experience, and further the League’s position as a technology leader in sports. Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, will be the first ballpark to roll out Extreme’s high-density Wi-Fi 6 solutions. Further, Extreme will power the network at MLB’s Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Florida.

ExtremeWireless cloud-enabled access points will be installed in 16 National League and American League stadiums, providing secure, dedicated Wi-Fi and network analytics during the nearly 1,300 games over 6 years.
