Major trade shows are still relevant, which was proven by the successful Cloud Expo 2023 at the beginning of December. With Extreme Networks as the shining star, more than 6,000 visitors learned about the importance of the cloud and networking during this event. In an excellent collaboration with four partners, our Benelux team provided demos of a series of innovations.
With 172 exhibitors, Cloud Expo has already established itself as the largest IT event in the Netherlands, in only its second edition. On December 6 and 7, Extreme's beautifully illuminated purple stand attracted a total of more than 1,000 engaged visitors. The stand had 4 partner zones, each with its own demo. Extreme also provided 2 of its own demos and 2 technical sessions. The driving force behind the success of this Cloud Expo was the teamwork of Extreme Benelux and the valuable contributions of our partners Actemium, Conscia, Indicium, and Kappa Data.
Demos
The excellent cooperation with our partners was reflected on the stand, with demonstrations and explanations about the various innovative solutions from Extreme and our partners. This way, visitors could learn about:
- Business Opportunity Builder (BOB)
- City of Tomorrow in collaboration with Living Tomorrow
- The new security of Universal Zero Trust Network Access (UZTNA)
- Robotics
Technical sessions
On both days, Patrick Groot Nuelend, Head of Vertical Markets & Strategy EMEA at Extreme Networks provided technical sessions in Theater 1 about the network as a strategic asset. On Wednesday he shared insights using the example of healthcare institution Parnassia. On Thursday, Patrick was assisted by Kees Brouwer from Indicium who gave an insight into the Zwarte Cross network.

By the way, Patrick was a busy man at Cloud Expo, because he also found time for 3 interviews with various media.
- He was interviewed live from the trading floor by Richard Bordes of New Business Radio,
- sat down in the Dutch IT Channel TV studio for a short interview with editor-in-chief Witold Kepinski,
- and spoke to editor-in-chief Sander Almekinders from Techzine.
To sum it up
All in all, the Extreme Benelux team was able to demonstrate our technology to hundreds of visitors during Cloud Expo 2023. But in addition, the implementation with our partners was also an example of cooperation. Extreme Networks Benelux is already looking forward to next year's edition on December 4 & 5!
