Being a Partner Account Manager means that you have to go extra mile to secure success for both your company and your partner. And our today’s guest is certainly willing to fight for every inch of that road. Today we’re discussing business & life lessons with Jasper Vredegoor, our Channel Manager for The Netherlands!
Please describe yourself in exactly 10 words.
Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing. (Period 😉).
For those who don't know it, it's a fairly well-known quotation from the UCLA Bruins football coach Henry Russell "Red" Sanders. It's very inspiring to me and I use it as my motto and goto phrase. Unfortunately, it consists of only 9 words so... needed to get a little bit inventive. 😉
Why did you choose to work as a PAM? Don’t worry, you can pick more than 10 words this time… :)
I’ve worked in finance and sales in The Netherlands and abroad and really enjoy the variety in activities and skills needed to be able to do that. Along the way I learned a great deal and built up a lot of experience in sales, business development, finance but also dealing with people in start-ups as well as multinational companies.
Now I can share this experience and help partners to grow their business with us!
You’re walking into a bar full of your current, but also potential partners. Everyone seems to be having a great time. What’s the first thing that you do?
I order champagne for everyone to thank them for their partnership and cheer to future success! I definitely talk to partners that have the ambitions and guts to work with the challenger in the marketplace. In my opinion, Extreme offers an awesome, future-proof portfolio but you need to be bold to dare and sell that in the marketplace. Anyone who feels up to that challenge has my full attention and support.
As I always say, climbing the mountain is far more satisfying than being on top of it. 😉
